Congratulations to Ft. Worth, TX. Midnight Basketball League Program Director Rev. Kyev Tatum , for his appointment to the City of Ft. Worth Park & Recreation Advisory Board.

Please accept our congratulations on your appointment to the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Advisory Board. We are confident that you will find your tenure on the Board interesting and exciting but most of all, rewarding. The Park & Recreation Department provides a wide spectrum of services unlike any other department in the City – from a variety of youth to adult programs to nature preservation. Our mission is to provide the highest quality park and recreation services to the citizens of Fort Worth.

The Park & Recreation Advisory Board serves the purpose of advising the staff and City Council on matters relating to park and recreation policy. Day to day management and administration remains within the purview of the staff; however, you will find that we remain open to consideration of suggestions and input from members of the Board, as well as citizens.
The Board meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Normally, the meetings are held at the Deborah Beggs Moncrief Garden Center at the Botanic Garden located at 3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard. In line with a Board initiative implemented in 1992, meetings are held in the community once each quarter at one of our department facilities. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law, meeting agendas are posted 72 hours in advance of the meeting and agenda packets are emailed to the Board members on Friday before the Wednesday monthly meeting.
