When Tarrant County Commissioner Roy C. Brooks called together a group of black clergy and community leaders from the Fort Worth Faith and Community Leaders United (FCLU) to share his concerns about the looming global pandemic, leaders agreed to work together and utilize their facilities as distribution hubs throughout the city to provide food, accurate communication, and testing referrals to our most vulnerable populations.

Under the leadership of Pastor William T. Glynn,

Pastor Kyev Tatum, Pastor Ken Jones, Pastor Kevin Haliburton, Brother Mark
Carter, Coach Vint Hargrave, Camille Bransom and many others, the FCLU
has built a compassionate collaboration of stakeholders, including fiscal
agent CityEquity, USA, Tarrant County, Texas, the City of Fort Worth,
League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), 911 Ministry, the Tarrant
Churches Together, and Designed 4 Greatness to provide prayer,
food and supportive services since March 21, 2020.

 

A GRADUATE OF THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS AND PASTOR OF NEW MOUNT ROSE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS. A FORMER APPOINTMENT OF GOVERNOR GEORGE W. BUSH, GOVERNOR RICK PERRY, AND PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA’S ADMINISTRATIONS, PASTOR TATUM HAS SERVED ON THE LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVELS REPRESENTING A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE WITH A FOCUS ON OUR

MOST VULNERABLE POPULATIONS.

CONSIDERED A SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT, PASTOR TATUM HAS SERVED ON THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS, TEXAS WOMAN’S UNIVERSITY, AND TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY. HE IS THE FOUNDER OF THE TEXAS PREPARATORY SCHOOL, SAN MARCOS’ FIRST CHARTER SCHOOL, AND THE RETAIL ENTREPRENEURSHIP GOLD SEAL PROGRAM AT HIS ALMA MATER, GREEN B. TRIMBLE TECH HIGH SCHOOL IN FORT WORTH.

AS A MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE REGION 13 EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER AND INTERAGENCY COUNCIL FOR THE ELIMINATION OF DISPROPORTIONALITY AND DISPARITIES IN AUSTIN, TEXAS, PASTOR TATUM HAS SPENT OVER 30 YEARS OF MINISTRY EXPERIENCE IN COMMUNITY, ECONOMIC, CRIMINAL JUSTICE, EDUCATION, HEALTH, AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT.
